ComLab (Pty) Ltd was established in 1996 as a member of the KWK Group of Companies. Our primary business area is the supply and installation of computer and telecommunication infrastructure. We have been offering our clients cost effective installation solutions for over ten years.
In 1996, we became involved in CCTV installations and took part in the CCTV system for Parliament and Tuynhuis. ComLab (Pty) Ltd has been appointed as Western Cape Sales and Service Agent for PolyComp Digital Signs and just recently delivered and installed PolyComp signs at the Cape Town Conference Centre, SARS Bellville Branch, and Customs and Excise (Cape Town branch). Furthermore since 1996 ComLab has been the sole authorized importer and distributor for microwave based video monitoring and surveillance systems made by VTQ Germany and other leading manufacturers. We are also the appointed importer for WinRadio Systems.
The company is managed by Dr Klaus Knopf and Mr. Malcolm Barrett, qualified electronics engineers with over 35 years experience in the telecommunications industry ranging from Tropo to Microwave transmission systems to building management systems and CCTV installations. All transmitters and receivers sold by ComLab have been type approved in our name by the SA Telecommunications Authority.
